Welcome To Mark Moor Bowling Club!

If you are a beginner, free coaching will get you started. Outdoor club evenings will begin in late April at 5.30pm on Mondays and Thursdays. The men play in two leagues - an over-55s league midweek afternoons and a Saturday afternoon county league. The ladies play mid-week in the local Victoria league and now also play in the new Somerset county league on Saturday mornings. We can all play in mixed friendly games. Our outdoor season finishes mid-September. Find us next to Mark Village Hall, Vole Road, Mark TA9 4NY. Ample free parking.

Mark Moor Bowling Club, founded in 1984, welcomes players of all ages and abilities to our lovely bowling green and cosy clubhouse situated in the beautiful Somerset village of Mark, next to the Village Hall with ample free parking.

The club is run entirely by the members and allows beginners, experienced players and visitors the choice to play in competitive matches, inter-club competitions, friendly games or regular fun events such as our weekly Umbrella.

Mark Moor is one of the smaller bowls clubs in Somerset and has a reputation for being a friendly and sociable place for new and experienced players. We encourage new players to take part in competitive fixtures as soon as they feel ready and comfortable doing so. There is always time for a drink and a chat in the bar after matches.

We welcome touring teams to our club and can offer a great green, excellent catering and a capacious car-park! Please get in touch...

Players new to the club in 2024 had a reduced subscription fee of £50. New players will be eligible for three free training sessions before deciding whether to join.  The rates for 2025 are yet to be decided. We look forward to meeting you!
